AURORA Brief + Thong Update and Leggings Sneak Peek (6/3/25)

Hello TK Members! 💫

Jen here, I wanted to take a moment to share an update on your outstanding AURORA orders and give you a little behind-the-scenes look at what we’ve been working on.

We know you’ve been waiting so patiently for the final pieces in your order, and we can’t say thank you enough. It’s been a longer timeline than any of us anticipated, and your support through all the twists and turns of production means everything to us. The good news is that we’re finally approaching the finish line — shipments are currently expected to arrive in mid to late July. That’s our current timeline from the factory, and we’re moving as quickly as we can without cutting corners on fit, comfort, or quality. These pieces have taken extra time because designing bottoms that feel amazing on a wide range of bodies is no small feat. We’ve been making detailed adjustments to the shape, stretch, and structure to get them dialed in just right.

While the production of AURORA wraps up, we're already deep into the design and development of our next product: TOURA leggings!!!! Based on everyone’s favorite TOURA shorts, these new leggings will have the same mega pockets and contoured waistband you know and love, with plenty of room for muscular thighs and calves.. This new addition to our lineup is something we’re incredibly excited about. Think: the same attention to fit, comfort, and style you’ve come to expect from us, now in a super-versatile, flattering legging. We are planning on sending out the pre-order form for the leggings at the end of July/beginning of August, for a proposed arrival in late 2025. Here are some sneak peeks!!

In the meantime, we’ll continue to keep you posted with shipping updates and product news. Stay tuned for more leggings updates! Lots of exciting things are on the way! Thank you again for your patience, love, and encouragement — we’re so lucky to have such a supportive community!

AURORA Brief + Thong Update (4/1/25)

Hello members! Firstly, thank you SO MUCH for your ongoing patience this past year and a half. The production for AURORA has been far from smooth, and the fact that you all are still supporting us and being so wonderful has been an absolute gift.

So, as you all know the AURORA designs have all arrived EXCEPT for the Brief and Thong. That’s because, since the dawn of us making bottoms - getting the fit just right is extremely difficult. Development for bottoms takes much longer than the tops, because everyone’s body type from the waist down has much more variation.

For a little behind the scenes action here are a few images of what Jen has been working through with our development team in Colombia. Basically, the fit of the thong is just *slightly* too loose on the sides, which creates a bit of a wrinkle. Additionally, our initial seamless design just isn’t quite possible with the current technology at our factory - at least not while maintaining the level of “feels like nothing is there” comfort that we expect from Basewear.

So, we’re doing our best to make some adjustments and get everything as close to perfect as we can. Please don’t think we have forgotten about your orders! We’re doing our best to make sure the Brief + Thong maintains the same quality we would expect for all our other Basewear items.

I know everyone wants an ETA, but the reality of production is that it is constantly fluctuating and changing. Currently our ETA with the factory is ASAP but only so long as we can get them completed while maintaining the comfort you expect.
